Why Unity2018 has no 【God Ray】Effect

 

God Ray? I think you are mentioning the lens flare. Download some lens flare in the asset store. Then add Lens flare component to the light. Set flare in inspector and If your light is directional, check the directional box. Finally, god ray effect will be ready!

God rays (a.k.a Sun shafts) aren't lens flares.

@cacccacc Unity 2017 introduced a new Post Processing Stack (more information here) that made the old 'Image Effects' obsolete. Sadly, there is no such effect in the Post Processing Stack (and never will be), but free third-party assets for volumetric lighting exists - such as Aura or Vapor. Give them a try

I understand, lens flare will show, if you look at the light. But god ray effect will show, if you look at the any lighted area. (in example, room is dark, but its window is lighted. You will show god rays, from on window).

hmmmm i hardly believe unity took them off from postrend..... i suspect they hid it in some bloom/light saturation postpro shader.... this have to be investigated !!!!

you got examples/info/shader/package/project so that all of us can see this please ?

 

Plenty of resources available for sun shafts. Both paid and free.

 

In asset store there is still official legacy image effects from 4.x,which I think it still apply to 2018.

 

forget about it i'll even won't waste a second wether or not you're right
even the latest version don't work.... talking about the leg one is just out of dreams
