I am a unity game engine user for over an year . And I greatly love it.... As I am a student I love programming and making my own games. And I believe that after I complete my High school ... I will be making more dynamic projects using Unity ........ But The thing is that many Indians use Unity for making games and its real awesome

But Why doesn't the Unity Team ever come to India to increase their fan-base and teach us to use Unity ... They can organise Games Jams and many training seessions for us so that we could Learn....

Afterall, I really want to interact with you guys :) :)

Well, it'd be nice to have a Unity HQ in India. But the possibilities are very slim. I don't think Unity will find it profitable since India is one of the poorest countries and well... It's India. Most cannot afford food and shelter let alone a Unity pro license. The average person's income according to a Survey done by NSSO, is $1420 per annum.

    P.S. I'm from India.

@ DemonHunter ...... It is isnt about money for indians ....... WE have real talents here and we all can put it to good use ... I am not asking the Unity team to lurk around the poor cities.... They can go to Mumbai, chennai etc too ..... And don't say that Indians cant even afford Unity Pro Licencse

Sure we do have quite a lot of talent and workforce. But Unity is a business and like every other business organisation, they intend on making money and subsequently profit. The gaming industry isn't very big in India and most of the studios that produce games are very small start-ups with very little or no funding. So affording a couple of Unity Pro licenses is not really an option for them.

But yes, there is real potential. Once it is unearthed, it will become a force to be reckoned with. I do hope that some day in the future, there will be a Unity HQ in maybe New Delhi/Banglore/Mumbai/Hyderabad/Chennai. Until then, fingers crossed! :)

Well, currently we use resellers in India. We also have a full-time sales people looking after India. That's what we do as a market in a territory starts to pick up. We'll send evangelists into the country to help show Unity benefits to interested teams. @zDemonhunter99 has it pretty correct.
