Why the ugly Personal Edition splash screen?

    The engine init counts towards the time. Its not 3.8 secs once things are ready, it's the total time.

    I installed Unity 5.4 beta for VR and this splash screen BURNS eyes!
    Many VR end users won't like it for sure.
    Now I have at least 5 "upgraded" projects and can't revert back to 5.3.

    Additionally, even if I'd love to pay Unity a monthly fee, earning less than $100K as indie isn't a synonym of "personal".
    It sounds like "made with a software too expensive for indie developers so we call it - personal - to let you know how small they are". The splash screen isn't pitching to potential big game studios, so I don't see the point of this message.
    "Indie Edition" would be far better and valid on the legal side.

    I was testing my 5.3.4 project today and I saw that the Android build said "Powered By Unity." I was excited thinking the "Personal Edition" was going away, but I guess not.

    "Personal Edition" sounds lame and unprofessional, like "Hobby Edition."
