Why no announcement for 2017.3? Isn't it final?

I just noticed the download page is listing 2017.3f2 but I didn't see any blog post or news.
You are not confident it is stable?
How come after a week, there is still no announcement and this beta board is still on?

 

Nevermind, I don't know why I went to the beta page, must have clicked by mistake, I thought I was on the release page....

 

Im worried about the final release, I hope next week so we have something play with for Xmas

 

Apparently, 2017.3.0f2 is still part of the beta program...

 

Regardless of when they're going to release this year, it's really just two weeks left, it will not be the stable release people are waiting for. There probably never will one, which just works for everyone, to be realistic.

 

I wonder why call it f2 then. Should be RCsomething. If it is final, it's final.

 

That's why I'm asking; this is the version you download from the "Beta Program" page; the one you download from the "stable" page is 2017.2.1f1.

 

Can't wait to play with 2018.1 already
