Bug Why is the rotate gizmos stretch / squash

    It's just matching the changing camera perspective.

    Yes. increasing the scene camera fov indeed make the effect more severe. Is it a bug? Or is this intended behavior?

    The disparity comes from the fact that the orbital rotate tool is a circle drawn to face the camera in screen space, while the axis rotators are inheriting the natural warping of a perspective camera. This isn't a bug. Notice that the warping is matching the distortion of the underlying sphere.

    Perhaps it could be made to look more consistent if the orbital tool was drawn in perspective. In any case, I think this is something to get over and not worry about too much.
