Why are some objects floating (not on y 0 )? I get that the editor shows me the localposition of the objects, however the mountains arent attached to a parent. If I create a new Object like the sphere and set them to 0, the middle of the object is at 0 how its supposed to be. Do the other Objects have a different "middlepoint" that Im not aware of? unity bild.jpg

It depends on the origin of the mesh itself.
By the way, make sure your tool handle position is set to "Pivot" and not "Center" if you want to see the actual location of the object in the scene view.

I can never remember what I want, Center / Pivot or Global / Local, so my workflow for "why is this thing in the wrong place" is always to just go wiggle those two buttons and see if it makes more sense.

If it makes sense I'm done

If it doesn't, then time to isolate and fix the broken thing
