Why is animation preview different from animation being played in scene?

    I have an animation that looks perfectly fine in the preview, (and I have created an avatar definition for it.)
    However, when the animation is being played in the scene, the legs overlap, and the animation sinks the character into the ground.
    See below:



    I also noticed that the collider goes through the ground for some reason, even if it comes back towards the end of the animation. It just seems like the terrain does not exist for this animation. The rest of the animation are fine, not going through terrain.

    Please help
