Why does unity completely reimport when switching between win32 and win64?

    Why does unity completely reimport all assets (textures/sounds etc.) when switching between win32 and win64?
    It takes a full 4 minutes for us and that's with cache server enabled, cache present and no changes to the assets.

    Is this something that I'd need to feature request to get fixed?
    It seems unnecessary since we cannot even apply win32 or win64 specific changes to textures and sounds.
