why does price is higher in euros than dollar ??

    hi,

    so why does price is higher in euros than dollar ??
    an allegorithmic pack 150$ ( = 104.43 euros) is sold 142.50 euros.

    even if we apply french VAT , 104.43 + 20.6% = 125.94 euros.

    any reason ?

    I think the exchange rate that they used is not real time or they fixed the price for Eur and dollars so there's no need to do real time currency exchange.

    Also they are not selling from france, they sit in scandinavia which are still the ones with the highest VAT at 25%

    ok , thks.
    Unfortunately price difference is not beneficial for me !
    it make a difference on several pack, and i think the new substances will cost me a lot ! :)

    hehe :D

    you can also look at the packs on the Allegorithmic store, they have some interesting stuff there thats not present on the asset store I think like the Architecture pack which has its cost, but contains many substances

    I paid Uniy ios in dollar with paypal, and it was lower (with the paypal conversion rate + French TVA), than if I've selected the price in Euro.

    There is some increase for price in Euro. (they probably fix the euro price with a nice marketing number, and higher than the real price of course)

    You can't.
    if you are a VAT registered business, you would need to contact UT from what I recall. (VAT stuff is always a thing between buyer and seller to resolve)

    If you have an European VAT Number (and you put it in the Unity Asset Store), you won't be charged VAT. If you don't have an European VAT Number, you will have to pay the VAT because of European laws, so you won't be able to ask for a "VAT refund" in Paypal.

    Of course you need to be registered as a company or a freelancer to being able to get an European VAT Number.

    Despite the VTA, the price is higher with UNITY guys making the conversion dollar-> euro than payal. And paypal conversion rate are bad.. They just make euro price "round", and of course round to a upper price :)
    I got something like a 20$ reduction on a purchase of Unity IOS.
