Question Why does my super simple rig not work with animation rigging?

    I made a super simple rig in blender to test animation rigging package:

    Each bone is connected to the mesh using a vertex group.

    I then export this fbx to unity and add the bone renderer setup, already something is wrong, where is my body bone?:

    I carry on an add IKs to the arms, but nothing happens when I move the IK target:

    Im not sure what Im doing wrong, I'm following this tutorial from Unity but they do not show how they setup the model in Blender for some reason (obviously a crucial step in the process), what am I missing?
