    Hi,

I have been using Unity for 3 months now and getting a little more serious in my work so I am trying to get my setup to be as usable and comfortable for me as possible to improve my productivity. I think what I am noticing changed at some point but why do grid lines change thickness when object selected? How can I disable this?

Let me show you what I mean. Pic 1 shows that no object in the Hierarchy scene Level 1 are selected, and the grid line are narrow. Pic 2 shows that Player is selected and the lines get wide, like they are being highlighted. For me, this makes it hard to see where the grid actually is so that I can line up my objects properly. How can I disable this "highlighting"?

    Hi ,

I'm experiencing the same behavior, I'm using Unity 2019.4.16f1 on Mac OS 11.0.1 ... is there a configuration / solution for this?

UPDATE ... Window->Layouts->Default solved the problem.

    Thanks

I'm using Unity 2020.2.1f1 on Mac OS 11.1 and I can confirm that Window->Layouts->Default also solved the problem for me. Thank you.
