Why can't we modify the navmesh's mesh?

    Hello there,

just wondering... Why can't we just modify the generated mesh from the navmesh system?

It seems to me like a must-have functionality once the generation of the mesh doesn't always fit the needs.

I bought an asset at Unity Store called NavMesh Extension (https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/16910) just to be able to "modify" the generated mesh. The problem is that I'm at this very moment in a huge project where it's not viable to generate the walkable areas with NavMesh Extension and yet it would be very very handy if I could generate the mesh with Unity's NavMesh system and then modify just the parts I need.

Anyone have any clue about this?

    Thanks.
