Why are the characters are so sweet?

Hi everyone!
I really getting upset while looking for a serious 2d character asset. I started a project and want to make a story of a epic character. Story will have very dramaric event but at many stores 2d sprites so sweet, cute, pretty, lovely. Where can i buy some characters not to be pretty. Scary enemies etc. Please help

 

What you might consider is buying a 3d character and using screen capture to turn it into a Sprite. Just set the camera and take pictures of the 3d model at the angle you desire. You could even capture animations for 3d objects in this way, turning them into flip book animations for your sprites. Probably not the answer you want, but just an idea.

 

Thank you i deeply searched about that method but feel embrassed to say that i didnt understant how make it. How can i make that ?
