Question Why are release notes not up to date

    Not entirely about multiplatform, but close enough


    Recently I noticed many Unity releases go live without any info on what the updates contain.

    The Unity engine releases sometimes take a few days to get the changelog online, which can be annoying to wait if you should update.

    Packages also do not get updated changelogs correctly. The URP package has not seen the 12.1.12 changelog for a while. The other packages also do now show 12.1.12

    I would like to add a little side-note here:

    If we need to choose to delay the update to wait for the changelog or have the version out without the changelog I would like to vote for having the version out without changelog for a little while.

    I was told that hub receives updates about available releases immediately when they push the build, whereas release notes get synced once a day. I am further inquiring whether that's something they will fix.

    Or can we have the release notes get included with the installation somewhere, so it doesn’t matter what the website does?

    I suspect that would be difficult as they come from different source and can be adjusted after the fact if we find mistakes.
