Why are cameras depicted at flat 2D icons?

    Hi Folks.

    Just a quick question... Why are cameras in the Unity world displayed a flat 2D icons that always face towards your point of view of the world? In the 3D package I use, Lightwave, cameras are 3D representations and by looking at them I can tell exactly which direction they are facing. I can't tell that looking at the 2D camera icons in the Unity world. While I'm getting use to how they are implemented, it's seems counter productive to not have a visual representation of the camera direction in the world.
