White/unresponsive screen

    Completely fresh installation of Unity 5.6.3p1on my laptop (Acer Aspire VX15).
    When starting a new project I get a white screen.
    Re-sizing the screen gives me double windows.

    Changing layouts makes specific windows visible.
    Unity Editor update check also gives me a white screen.

    Unity used to work on this laptop before
