    Hi!

After upgrading to 2018.2, my Unity comes with a bug that set some GUI parts to white when I try to resize tabs. See following gif for explanation.

But, I don't know if this is a Unity's bug or something on my computer, because I just upgrade my Unity after a fresh re-format and re-install all my Linux distro and applications.

I have an AMD Radeon HD 8500M (R5 M230) installed as an discrete graphics card. So, I tried to run Unity with this graphics card instead Intel's integrated, using "DRI_PRIME=1 /home/user/Unity-2018.2.0f2/Editor/Unity" command, but this bug stills.

    Can someone help me? :)

    Thank you :D

    == UPDATE ==

I tried to install Unity 2018.1.6f1 and this bug has gone completely (check following gif).

I think is a bug in 2018.2 series. Reading the "requirements", 2018.2 requires GTK+ 3.4 or greater. Checking in my system (with "dpkg -l libgtk2.0-0 libgtk-3-0" command), I have GTK+ 3.22.30 installed. So, I'm in requirements specifications, but my Unity is not working properly (why???).

Whatever... I'll still on 2018.1.6f1 until this bug has no fix :)

    Thank you! :D

Same here happening with Ubuntu 16.04. Whenever I maximize the window, it gets that same behavior, if I shake the window it goes back to normal for sometime but the issue persists through out when I have the editor on.

I am having the same issue on Ubuntu 18.04 with nvidia graphics in both normal and HiDPI mode. I'm only getting this issue on the 2018.2.xxx releases.

Same here using Ubuntu Mate with gtk+3. Please check out my editor log (there are a couple of warnings..) in hope that the talented Unity Linux dev team finds a bug fix.

So far the temporary fix is to drag around then maximize the window.. it's livable but annoying.

Same here on Manjaro (KDE) 17.1.11. It starts completely white except for the menu bar and fixes once I max out the window; happens again if I resize one of the tabs and fixes once I resize the window, again

Confirmed to still be happening in Linux Mint 19 Tara on Unity 2018.2.0f2. I use AMD Radeon R9 Graphics Card. It looks like this when it happens.

Not sure if this will help anybody, but I'm getting a somewhat similar issue which goes completely away when running as root, maybe somebody can try this?

I'm getting the same thing on Arch Linux. Additionally, I can can't enter in any values into the custom resolution windows in the Game View Control Bar. It won't let me type any numbers in but the Cancel and OK button work fine.

Edit: On that second issue, if I edit the file located at: ~/.config/unity3d/Preferences/Editor-5.x/GameViewSizes.asset

after adding in the 10 x 10 default, I can get it to show the proper resolution.

Is there a fix for this? I'm back on Windows, but I already miss my Linux Mint. If this was fixed, I could definitely still do dev stuff on Linux.

    Hi guys!!!

Good news!! I've downloaded the new release (today's release, Unity 2018.2.2f1) and appears this bug has gone completely (check above gif).

    Peek 08-08-2018 13-28.gif

But I found a little bug on game resolution dropdown (the dropdown doesn't closes after clicking on "+" button for adding new resolution/aspect ratio on Game view). And, in another thread, someone says the Collab can't download cloud projects, but I not test this yet.

I think this "white tabs" bug was the only thing breaking me for upgrading to 2018.2 series. So, for now, I will use this 2018.2.2f1 version. Now I'm just waiting the VUFORIA engine on Linux haha... @Tak Pleaseeeee :D

Oh... On GIF, I'm showing my new game, Aqua Road. If someone can, please download it from Google Play and give-me a feedback :)

    Thank you!!
