    Hello,
Before anyone asks, yes, I have tried searching the forums for people with the same problem as me and tried their solutions, but none worked out so far.

I have the "white screen after project open or new project" problem in windows 10. I have already tried deleting the library folder from the project, I already tried restarting the computer and uninstalling the software (unity 2018.1.5f1), I have already tried updating the graphics card driver (GeForce 1050ti) and I don't own the WindowFX software, but I tried disabling window animations within windows 10. I also tried adjusting DPI configurations to be set by unity (unity.exe > Properties>compatibility> Alter High DPI ...>high DPI adjust. by...).

Im running a GeForce 1050ti, Intel i7-7700HQ, 16Gb ram and plenty of space in the disk.

What I can understand of it, is a windows 10 issue with the editor, because the software is there and it works, If I hover the mouse over where the would be parts of Unity are I get the description accurately, I can open differente pallettes from the "window" menu in the top bar, and other white frames appear. The software is there, but it most definitely isn't showing.

anybody have any Ideas or solutions for me(that I didn't try already) or do I need to scrap the idea of using unity altogheter?

that is a windows 7 patch. I'm running windows 10. Didn't find any patch like that for windows 10 either.
    the problem persists.

found the solution: acer's (my laptop manufacturer) intel graphics drivers are bad. Had to download the driver from intel directly and bypass the acer validation thing by installing through de device manager. worked out.
