So the image above shows one part of the scene. If you look at the monks they have white lines outlining the robes. When you actually play the scene the table, chairs, candles all have these white lines and they seem to move when you move the character (think a line tool when it becomes uneven, then even again over and over).

I am not sure exactly how else to describe it but can anyone explain why it does this?

I am compiling to Android but this image is from the windows unity editor.

    Thanks

It seems to be Fresnel reflections (all surfaces become more reflective at grazing angles) (quoted from here).

You are using standard shader right ?
Here are what you need to read: https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/StandardShaderFresnel.html
    Also wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fresnel_equations

    Are you driving ?
If so, have you already spotted some kind of "illusion" when your car is climbing a tilted road ?
It's hard to explain, but you can easely experience fresnel effect while driving in summer.

Thanks Fabian for the reply and I get what you are saying. I'll take a look at the links and get learnt :)

As for as lighting - I was trying to achieve having a dark room that was only light by 4 small candles. I failed and even though I put my 'Ambient Intensity' down to '.1' I never got the effect I wanted, but I said that to say this: I thought the lines were appearing due to my use of a standard shader and low light. As you can see from the image almost everything (table, walls and outline of monks) are all the same color and texture. So I figured maybe this was a lighting problem.

I will try to play around with different shaders to see if I can make it look better.
