I have been developing a wargame using Unity Personal for the last 4 years. I found a publisher to market my game. But the terms are not clear on exactly which Unity I need. They game will make at most $100k over the next 10 years. In the 1st year it will make about 1/2 that money. I am a lone developer but I am using a larger than $200k a year publisher?! I do plan on making more games but they will all be 2s simple games and take 2-3 years to develop so I will never be making a lot of money at this. I am retired. So which one? I am not doing fancy graphics.
If you're not an employee or in an arrangement where you are acting as an employee of this publisher than you use your own revenue, not the publisher's. You also don't need to go to the higher tier license until after revenue is earned, not on expectations of revenue, and the revenue levels are on an annual basis.
