    Hello,
I started creating a multiplayer quiz game. At the moment I am using Photon, but due to CCU limitation and pricing I would like to switch software.
The new software needs to be able to be hosted on a dedicated server (cloud or something like that). Also the players should be able to create a room and share this to the other players.
Which Server-Software is the best to use?
Already looked at some other solutions like mirror, forge networking and dark rift 2, but never thought "oh, thats all I need"..

    There is no best.
Having said that I would suggest Mirror if you are concerned with Photons free tier limitations.

There is not a lot of work if you take a time-tested network solution and adapt it for yourself as I did with a raknet :)

Making your own is the best, but if you didn't want to, TNET, I found to be one of the best I used, over Pun, Bolt, Mirror, bleh bleh and the dev himself uses for HIS own games, which is important in development, because its PROVEN....
