I need a custom shader for a particular effect I need in my game.
I am willing to pay someone to make it for me, but I don't know the best way to go about commissioning someone to do that for me.
The best I can think is to look for someone on a site like UpWork or Freelancer, and perhaps that could work out just fine, but I hear that people tend to have hit-or-miss results with such sites.
Is there a better way to go about this? Is there a reliable place to find people I could hire for small jobs, particularly ones that explicitly revolve around Unity?

    Well that's nice to see.
Are people expecting jobs of a particular scope though? Like, I'm not looking to hire a week's worth of work; just maybe an hour's worth of work.

    I do not think so.

I haven't used job forums after unity nuked Connect, but IIRC in jobs forums before connect, there were multiple types of requests ranging from short-term tasks few hour long tasks, to long-term on-site employment.

So, just post what it is you're looking for, and maybe someone will bite.

Try upwork or fiverr for more response if you can't find anything on the jobs forum
