where to download documentation

    I dont know if this is the right section to ask for this but.. is there a way to download the documentation files of unity ?

    The docs should already be installed on your computer. Look here:

    If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer under Windows XP SP2 or later and you are going to download the documentation in CHM format.

    As Synch1B noted the docs are installed with Unity so there's no need to download them separately.

    Would there be any chance of Unity supplying the manuals in PDF format at some point? It would make it a lot easier to search through and to print out.

    At some point? Maybe.

    At some point "soon"? Not likely, it's just not on our radar for the "near" term as a priority, sorry.


    Note: "soon" and "near" have different meanings to different people. My definitions are that "soon" and "near" mean "before Unity 3.0". But keep in mind that because I say it won't happen before 3.0 that does not mean it will happen in 3.0, just that it won't happen before. </covering my tracks>
