Where is the "Upgrade Materials to URP Materials" option in 2021.2.0b12?

    Edit > Render Pipeline > Universal Render Pipeline is missing in Unity 2021.2.0b12.

    Could we also have the old option to easily convert selected materials? Because the new converter UI is horrible for that at the moment...

    It would be great if you could drag and drop the materials you'd like to upgrade into the window instead of having the Render Pipeline Converter creating it's own list of materials it thinks need to be upgraded. For large projects it is a pain to go and uncheck all of the materials you don't want to upgrade.

    So I cant select a bunch of materials and just upgrade them anymore? The converter cant even find the materials i want to upgrade. Guess I have to do it manually??

    I've forwarded the feedback to the team and they are discussing potential improvements to the workflow for future updates.

    Yeah, not being able to simply upgrade selected materials, is a majorly disruptive downgrade to the UX for this.
    I just happened upon this issue when wanting to convert 10 or so materials, then being presented with a list of over 1000 preselected materials, present in the project files, after initialising the converter. -Which, unless I'm missing something, I'd have to manually deselect all of, bar the few I initially wanted to convert. Which seems pretty counterintuitive.

    We are looking into re-adding the Convert Selected Materials menu Item again.
    We are sorry for the inconvenience the lack of this feature has brought.
