I am looking to get some serious assets for my game in terms of characters jpgs and app thumbnail art etc.
Where does everyone else find their art? I feel this is mostly a programming community so there must be a bit of outsourcing going on.
I want to be able to work closely with them to get a good end product.
    Thanks

I make most of my own art assets. I started learning Blender not too long ago so I can at least make some basic 3D objects such as furniture, houses, cars, etc. For more complex things, or things I don't have time for I go to the asset store. I try to avoid the asset store though as you can't always find all the art assets you need in the same consistent style.

But this is actually a question I've been meaning to ask as well. Like I've been wondering what communities people go to for commissioning work or finding people to collaborate with. I'm an experienced programmer but beginner 3D modeler. I modeled and animated the base model for the main character of my next game, but I know I'm eventually I'm gonna need the help of an artist to figure out the character design and translate that character design into a 3D model.

Find artist on artstation whose work you like and contact them directly.
