I'm interested in spline animation tutorials?
    Especially for complex characters

I'm especially interested in joint connections

In particular, the connection of the limbs with the trunk

and how to rotate an arm or leg 360 degrees so that there are no artifacts with a contour and edges

Splines will be the least of your concern in this problem space.

Far more important will be things like IK and making it look reasonable.

Procedurally generated animation is a fairly niche thing, extremely tied to the details of the character you're making.

You can find some discussions in the form of devblogs on Youtube and you might even find videos showing how to get started. Tons of IK videos for how to set that stuff up as well.

I mostly work in blender with an addon coa tools and export to unity. (I know that the unit has its own editor with a rig, but it's easier for me to do it in blender.) I know how to work with rig and weight. I'm interested in how to make a character in layers. Where to put the turning points of the bones. And how to rotate the character 360 degrees. Not drawing each frame separately, but using tricks and illusions for this. For example, I found out somewhere that Vanillaware studio uses this type of animation. But I don't know how to make the same quality.
