It's all in the title !

I need some C# devs to make a very basic game, but I don't know how to get them, please tell me :)

I know we are in Unity forums, almost everyone coding in C#, but where are the guys that want to make non-profit games with a team ?

There is the collaboration forum, if you are feeling bold.

That is a hard sell. While most indie game developers tend to make very little money anyway, an even half-decent C# coder can make a very nice salary in any number of different fields. I should know, I make my living doing back-end C# coding for ASP.NET.

Simply throwing out the term "charity" isn't going to be enough. You need to tighten up your pitch, and provide some details in order to attract some attention. There are plenty of open-source projects that convince experienced programmers to throw some of their time in gratis. If you were willing to take a similar approach for a game, it should be possible. It's all in how you present it.

Or do some sort of crowd funding to be able to pay a programmer. The people willing to support the charity might not overlap with the people who have the programming skills you need. But if those people are willing to donate you will be able to use that money to buy the skills.

There are also some other forums that have listings you might find helpful.
Gamedev.net has a classified hobbiest section where adverts are posted for not for porfit developments and promise for profit after development is complete.
Creating an advert there might find some collaborators.
I believe polycount.org also has a collaboration section though I dont know many programmers who frequent polycount. I might be wrong about that.
