Also weird how long it's been without a new alpha, usually there's a new release every week or so.

They told me a bug i reported has been fixed in a15 two weeks ago, now i'm still using a13 which is released 1 month ago...
there must be something wrong in the Unity team, we better keep waiting rather than pushing them.
    a11 a12 are just disasters.

I think its because of changes brought up in the graphics repository

We found shipstoppers (severe bugs) in a14 and a15 and decided to not ship them. Should resume with a16...

Thanks for letting us know. On the upside - for Windows 10 at least - a13 has been great, a definite improvement over predecessors.. hasn't crashed out once (100+ hours of use), WebGL builds are completing without needing to delete Library every so often, the Inspector hasn't been collapsing on itself/broken with hierarchies of lists of serialized classes anymore when the first item is expanded (although re the new "layout is struggling" warnings, not to state the obvious, I think it would be better of Unity to invest more resources to improve performance of whichever systems are struggling, vs. the part of the message that we should simplify our structures - though I expect that's already on the agenda). Overall, very pleased with a13 and definitely looking forward to the next release :)

Ok,i have to say a16 is just another disaster.
performance drops at least 25% compare to a13.
Volumetric Clouds is ruined by heavy ghost artifact.
i don't even know are these bugs or they just changed some settings.
let's wait another month to find out.

Oh? well 16 felt like regular alpha to me, that is a bit wonky but terribly interesting to look at new features. Crap perf and bits of lego underfoot are kind of normal ish for an alpha.

Being on alpha you *choose* to convert complaining -> bugreporting

A18 is available in the hub since yesterday and you can see its release notes.

    What's new in Unity 2022.2.0 Alpha 18 - Unity (unity3d.com)

And if you know where to look, you can download 2023.1 alphas already.

Seems like latest alpha 18 added volumetric materials in HDRP. But it doesn't appear in anywhere at shadergraph or material settings. Any ideas @Matjio ?
