When will we get prefab nesting?

I remember UT mentioning that they are working on prefab nesting solution because of the new GUI.
(Prefab nesting is having a prefab A inside prefab B, as a child object, that still retains a connection to prefab A and will change if prefab A is changed.)

However, I have not heard anything on it for a long time.
I hoped it would come along with Unity 4.6 and the new GUI but talking to some beta participants, they say there is still no prefab nesting!

Now, there is a lot of things Unity is missing, such as a good GUI. But the one feature I believe it is missing the most is prefab nesting. Most things Unity misses are solved by 3rd party assets, but prefab nesting can only be properly solved by UT because of its nature.

I've been waiting for years in hopes the next update will bring prefab nesting. Some speculated that it would arrive even before the new GUI. I was so excited when I heard Unity 4.6 was in beta, thinking "Finally! Nested prefabs!", only to be disappointed.

What happened to it? Will we ever receive nested prefabs?
Which version will it be in?

I don't need exact dates, I know you don't give us dates for anything. But at least some answer would be nice, like "No, prefab nesting isn't planed in version 4.x" or "Prefab nesting will most likely arrive in Unity 5.x".

Any answer will do! Just give me something to look forward to!


P.S. please don't comment on how to solve lack of prefab nesting, or saying you don't think prefab nesting is important at all. This is not the purpose of the thread.
