I have nearly completed my game. I have a working development version on IOS and Android. I am in the process of adding ad mediation, which is most likely my final step before I consider the game complete.

I found this thread posted in 2015 so not sure if it is still valid. Would appreciate if someone with experience on IOS and Android would take a look at this and let me know if it is still the way to go (i.e. just copy the project files from windows machine to apple - https://forum.unity3d.com/threads/best-way-to-move-whole-project-from-pc-to-mac.342824/).

I would also like to know if the SDK's I add to windows (ad mediation SDK's, e.g. Admob, AdColony, etc) would be copied over, or would I need to install the SDK's separately on each platform?

Any other advice would be much appreciated.

We move a project between a user on windows and our osx users all the time. IMO, it's easier to just do it from Git. If you have your .gitignore setup properly it's painless. Unity is pretty good about handling your assets and putting them in the correct format. Also, if you aren't already you *really* should be using source control.

Will unity export the x-code project from windows? I think I've heard of people exporting the xcode project from a windows box, then building that on a mac. I don't have more details on that though.

For SDKs it should be fine, at a Unity level you can find the objective-C files , .framework and .a files. They are all in your project sturcture If you look at them on the inspector you can see they only export for the IOS platform. Going from a windows to mac box and vice versa won't change that.

Just make sure that the .unitypackage from the SDK vendor contained everything you need.

You are correct, I am not using source control, and I really should be. Does it make sense to start using it now even though my project is nearly complete?

Yes, as long as you made a backup
