When a log message is in the console. Is hard to understand what game object belongs to or where is in Project.

actual: Double-clicking it only opens the IDE. Nothing is selected.

expected: Double-clicking it the IDE is open and the game object/s is/are selected. So the component is visible flashing in the inspector. That the script is selected in Project (flashing).
An extra key like [Ctrl] when selecting the log message can be used as an option.

This functionality is possible in the editor, though not exactly as stated in your post. The optional second parameter in Debug.Log allows you to pass a context object. If the context object is an asset or object in the scene, it will be pinged when the associated log is single-clicked. Double-clicking will open the IDE as usual.
