Looks like they've been taken down but still nothing new yet, so empty page when I look at it at the moment.

Yup, website keeps logging me out too.
Maybe they will actually have something worth a damn this month.

I imagine part of their selection process involves them checking to see what users that are part of Level 11 already have and then picking those to be 'free'. That way it looks like they are giving things away but those of us that spend money on pro probably already have them and the asset developer doesn't get shafted on giving it away.

Well that sounds really bizarre. I'll give you 11/10 for creativity.

    Here's what actually happens:

    developers sign up for it
unity picks the biggest mix so there's something for everyone, bit of art, bit of technical etc. A well rounded plate of food.

That's all. Unity loses if it has a poor level 11 offering because people have less reason to go pro.

So far the Level 11 items that are 'free' are things that almost all of the developers in our project already own. We aren't a single company so it was funny that we all had the same assets already. The concept I previously stated was brought up in a dev meeting one night and everyone got a kick out of it.

Some of the discounts have been decent but nothing really exciting that doesn't come up in regular sales. I imagine most of us that have pro already open our browser every morning to see what is available on sale and will pick it up if the deal looks good and if we may have an idea for it in a future project.

I'm indie, and it looks like it's another month where I don't have to crab about not having Level 11 access. ;)

One of our developers pointed out that even if we bought all of the items that are 'free' in Level 11 we would still come out ahead by not going Pro since we would never buy all of the assets that are offered. In 3 months we have 'saved' about $200 (assuming we bought all of the offered free ones), which means that by a year we would be at $800, or roughly the cost of a Pro subscription. Most of the items on L11 have been for sale multiple times so we based costs on the amount that is normally paid, or about half the price of the item retail amount. Had we gotten only the ones we wanted (or already had) then it would be a lot less.

I would be happier of the small deals went away and we all just got like 10% off of everything at any time rather than random deals through an arbitrary picking process.

Dunno, when I pay $1500 per seat for a program for certain benefits then I kind of like things to be pretty predictable.

I'm looking forward to the Level 11 Subscriber option to open up. Although I guess this month doesn't have much to offer me that I haven't already bought.

There's kind of a game element to it - do I buy this daily sale now or am I going to speculate that it eventually turns up as a free level 11 asset? If this was a deck building game I'd say there's anti-synergy between daily sales and level 11.

Overall, I have not been that impressed with it.
I have often compared it to the dollar DVD bin at the gas station.

I view the Level 11 stuff as a bit of a gift that Unity gave pro users because they changed tack and decided to open up the engine to everyone. I make medium sized commercial games so I would have to buy the pro license anyway, and any team that is making a game is likely making a big game that they expect to do more than $100 k, so preordering Unity you got it cheap, and you would have to have the pro version if your game does well anyway. Besides years ago we paid tens of thousands to remove a logo from a game engine we used then as having someone other companies name on the engine was anathema. So in effect, I got the engine cheap, I get to use custom logos, and I got the level 11 stuff as a bit of a gift, so I prefer not to look a gift horse in the mouth, and months, like this one, where I already have all the free assets, I'm still pretty satisfied with the level 11 stuff and that I preordered Unity 5.
