So I'm making a rope by making a long link of configurable joints on a small cylindrical mesh. On the bottom end of the rope, I have a hook attached. Problem is, once the hook touches a surface it immediately freaks out. I tried playing around with the physics material but with no luck. Any possible reasons the bounciness is being caused? Also, is this the best way for me to make a rope in Unity? If there are other solutions to making an extendable rope, let me know an alternative solution.
