What Ways Can I Make A Prefab Look Dirty/grungy

    Hi im very new to a lot of things in unity and I was wondering what ways someone can go about making a prefab look dirty or grimy..

    So, im going to assume you know about materials, and applying textures to items. If not, please see many of the starter tutorials on Unity's website, they are an amazingly thorough starting point.

    I recommend having a basic texture on your material for color etc, and then assigning a dirt texture to the "detail" slot to get some more feeling.

    Once you get a bit more proficient, I would say look into shaders! You can blend dirtmaps depending on height, arbitrary values, whatever you want :) Shaders are amazing haha
