Question What should I know besides Unity and C#?

    I've been learning unity and c# for 9 months. Other than these, what should I know?

    e.g;

    Blender for modeling and animation,
    MySQL for database...

    and What assets should I have?

    e.g;

    photon.

    You should stop and make a game. You will then realise that what's left to learn is everything. Your entire direction in this is wrong.

    Game development = learning what you need, when you need it. No-one who has shipped a game can deny this.

    Because every single game requires you to invent things on the spot. So if you want to know what's left you should just make what you need to make. And Photon isn't necessarily the answer either. I mean, I'd probably not use it. But then you'll ask "what do I use?" and you will find it is different for each game.

    Most of your problems will be how to express a certain desired behaviour in C# and no-one can teach this.

    Seriously though, just make a game if you want to make a game. Best way to learn is by doing.

    Very true, and in my case forgetting it again and relearning it again when i next need it!
