Hey y'all, quick question. I'm preparing to sell a small concrete texture pack on the Unity Asset Store, but I'm not sure what price I should charge for it, or if I should give away for free, to help build reputation. There is five textures which are all seamless 2048x2048. Any advice?

Show screenshots of them in use(nice scene), then we can judge.

Free. Substance gives away it's procedural concrete material for that with a dozen or so others and they are quite tweakable. TBH..Yer gonna have to do better than that.

Check out any potential competition on the store. Read the comments on them and see what users like and dislike.

If you want any kind of texture pack, not materials, but textures, then you're going to have to have A LOT of useful textures for anyone to even spend 5 dollars on it.

I am not trying to burst your bubble.

Only speaking the realities of things.

I always make my own textures, but if I was extremely hard to buy a texture pack, there would have to be at least minimum 30 textures for just a few bucks.

Shaders on the other hand, like my Shader pack I am selling, are a different story, not many people mess with Shaders because they are freaking hard to make, therefore very useful to put on Asset store... With mine, there are only 320 shaders on Asset Store, that's on the very low end of things compared to the other sections for the most part.

You wouldn't even necessarily have to spend any money. There are quite a number of free textures on the store. This is why I suggest reading the comments on the competition. If you are hoping to compete you will need to offer what they do not.

Textures isn't a good market to be on unless you have a boatload of textures which you sell for peanuts or give away for free. People aren't very willing to pay for them because they can often find free alternatives from cgtextures or many other places.
