What Might Be Causing This Shadow Flicker?

    Wanted to know if anyone has seen this before with Transparent/Cutoff Shaders + shadow flickering.



    As you can see, it happens with "wind" shaders most visibly, but also happens on totally static items when the camera moves.

    Has to be something with shadows, but I can't figure it out thus far.

    Do you have a bloom filter enabled?

    Yes, however disabling it has no effect on the flickering.

    Your question made me think of (obvious now) disabling things in the scene until it went away, though, and I've cornered the culprit - thanks!

    It's Aura (an asset I'm using from the store). I'll hop into their forum and try to see if there's any sort of fix.

    What if you disable all your camera effects And turn them on one by one to see where the problem occurs?

    Just did that, see above, thanks! I'll tell ya it's so easy to get stuck in the weeds on this kinda stuff that doing obvious troubleshooting is the last thing you think of after hours of testing lighting settings, haha...

    Nothing to be embarrassed about. It literally happens to everyone.

    I wanted to try Aura but it doesn't work on mobile unfortunately. It looks really cool though.

    BTW your game looks beautiful. Where can we find more information about it?

    Thanks a bunch =)

    We've really only been prototyping thus far, about 2 months in, so we haven't created any public info yet. It's called "Warden" and will be a combination action RPG + 'day to day survival' with a lot of game mechanics from the Harvest Moon series (taking care of your homestead, daily energy, sleeping, seasons, etc.)
