what is unitychannel ??

    i found a folder contain a file called unitychannel in plugins folder after updating my unity version to 2019.2 , what is unitychannel ? and when its useful ??

    Yes, if you are not using IAP, you can safely delete the folder.

    if i wanna use IAP there is no way to take away this permissions like READ-PHONE-STATE , Device & app history , Identity ? cause no one will download a simple game with this permissions

    So when you target Android/Google Play, you still see UnityChannel included in the APK? We are looking to improve this behavior in an upcoming release of IAP.

    if u talk about after building apk , i don't know how to find if there is UnityChannel in that apk file or , i don't know how ,but it causes an error when uploading the file to google play for READ-PHONE-STATE and other permissions too apear when u wanna download the game . is there a way to use IAP without this dangerous permissions ?

    There is no "unitychannel" folder in my plugin folder.What should i do for that issue?. I imported UNITY IAP in service window correctly but still there is no "unitychannel" folder.
    Could you please give me that folder as package to import that folder to my project?

    Can you elaborate why you want unitychannel? This thread is about users wanting to remove it.

    hey @JeffDUnity3D, could you please suggest if the UnityChannel folder is still needed in Unity 2021 with IPA 3.2.2?
    It is not mentioned in the notes here.
