what is this stupid gizmo line

what are these idiotic lines in the new unity hdrp demo(/startup scene).

 

Those are light probes if I'm not mistaken. As they are abstract concepts in a computer program I don't think they have an intelligence level.

 

Neither do the devs who put them on by default in the new startup template.

 

I feel like your response to how light probes work is disproportionate to the inconvience. You can turn off the gizmos by collapsing the light probe component in the inspector, by disabling them from the gizmo menu, or by unchecking "show wireframe" when editing the light probes.
