Can we please stop spamming the Mega Sale (and other Unity sales that are already known about)? It really isn't a secret sale and all of the posts advertising it are kind of making it harder to find the actual "secret sales" that this thread was started to showcase.

I have nothing against affiliates, in fact I kinda went to bat for affiliates this weekend because there are actually legitimate reasons where affiliate links should be able to be used when they are in context with a thread. But spamming a non-secret sale in the secret sale thread isn't really one of them. lol The same with posting the same assets another affiliate had just posted.

It would really be great if all the affiliates were willing to take the time to make posts as VIC20 does. Link farms are generally frowned upon in most affiliate circles and that seems to be what a lot of the posts here have become. VIC20 takes the time to not only drop his/her affiliate link but also paste in information and the occasional pic/video from the asset to entice us to want to click the links.

At any rate, either way you post. I would love to see this thread get back to secret sale lists and have affiliates quit pushing publicly announced Unity sales here.

I had a special dedicated thread for Black Friday & Mega Sale but the moderators closed it and told me to post here. But I also think it might be better if we won't post any list or reminders about official sales in this thread anymore.

This is by accident and rarely happens to AssetStoreSales and me. The reason for this is simply that often many of the new secret sales here are online just since a few minutes when we post them.

But Asset_Store_Deals generally seems to ignore the entire thread and posts a list with old assets, which I consider rude. I doubt he reads this thread at all.

 

I thought the same thing when I saw things double posted. To be honest, I don't even remember who it was. I know I've seen a couple who posted at the same time and it is definitely understandable that can happen at times.

And to throw this out there, I'm not an official Unity person. Just another publisher/affiliate who has started getting frustrated with all the official sale posts in the secret sales thread. I think the best thing for the big sales would be like I have seen one of you do where you have a link to your affiliate site where you have the assets from the sale in a post where you have shared some of the markdowns you have run across. (I'm still trying to figure out how you guys are getting that info so I can have similar lists on my own site. lol).

At any rate, I've derailed this thread enough to add to the non-secret sale posts. Thanks for understanding and hopefully the others will do the same and keep the lists on topic for those of us truly wanting some secret sale sauce! heheh. So find us more non-official sale deals!!!

Sure, but some of these assets doesnt write that it's on discounted price.
Let's assume that you tracked those assets price before and after, those assets which doesnt writes discount is more like permanent price drop rather than discount. It's important for me because i dont have to feel hurry if I know that it's price drop instead of limited sale.

I don’t post any pictures except of my own assets. I always wanted to post pictures but I can’t do that because I don’t have any rights to post them. If a Youtube video allows embedding then it is legal to post it here. But posting a picture which was made by someone else is not legal because I just don’t have the permission to do that. Even if it is hosted somewhere else by Unity and I use the original URL. If someone has a bad day and hates red cats then he could sue me.
