Terrain Importer is the heightmap/splatmap import tool that makes importing/modifying large quantities of terrain fun again (or at the very least, easy).

- Import Tile Sets of (theoretically) any size.

- Import one or more RGBA Splat Maps, individual textures (that cover the entire terrain), or add/replace splat textures in a simple way (note, when importing splatmaps/textures any image format that can be converted by Unity to a Texture2D should be supported).

- Import Height Maps under a variety of supported extensions (.raw, .r16, .r32, .ter, .tif/.tiff). Other height map extensions may be added in the future (by request). Additionally, the tool allows for the use of scriptable objects which can be created to add support for other formats yourself.

- Import Settings are stored as Scriptable Object Assets, which allows for quick and easy re-importation.

- Generate Prefabs for your terrains automatically.

- Configure the Terrain Settings for all imported terrains. This is incredibly useful when importing tile sets (imagine having to change the Pixel Error/Detail Distance/Tree Distance/etc. for every terrain in the tile set post import!).

But I did have a quick "Holiday," and "Sale," question, iv been wondering.

Does Unity do a "Holiday end of year sale."
Just thinking about all those new entries on this thread, and lottsa window shopping, and dreaming... I hope they do.

 

Actually I seriously hope not, the publishers are slowly recovering from the bad months following the giant sale in April.

 

I believe there is a Black Cyber Madness something-or-other that is likely on its way. Not a certainty, but it seeeeeeems likely.

 

Probably not as big as that super huge sale. Something maybe more like 20 items. But again, this is just my rational guessing.

 

No idea, I think such a small sale is always possible. At least the Asset Store team never contacted me about a Madness sale on Black Friday, so if there is such a sale then I was (again) not one of the lucky ones who got selected.

Okay, so ... Nov 20 a sale begins.

Ironically, it is called a "Black Friday Sale" ... but it begins on a Monday.

 

My guess is it just replaces the usual On Sale This Week just with a better selection of assets.

 

someone know the names of assets appear in the trailer?

♠ And why would they do a Black Friday sale. (on a Monday) And not a Seasonal Sale like every other shop / retailer (of sorts)?

There is a trailer on that website running. The movie won’t run if you have video autoplay for websites disabled. (like the standard setting of Safari on Mac)

I guess the sale will go on for the entire week and replace the usual On Sale This Week
