    So im trying to understand how people usually do 2D (like a square with the animation of a character) animation for lots of diferent npcs, i have my own toughts on this, for example;

    Creating one object for each npc and having an animation component for each object that has a texture atlas for all npc animations, but i also saw that unity has sprites, and saw people using those too, i wonder wich one would be better for performance, is there another way?

    Also is creating a game object for every npc a good idea? what would be an alternative to this? lets say for like 200 sprites on screen animating at the same time, that would be 200 gameobjects/squares with animation and movement.
