Does this indicate a memory leak? Or something else? If performance in game is fine but you are receiving a consistent crash after about 15 mins of the game running, what does that point to?

If it's a memory leak issue, wouldn't you expect to have a crash in editor as well? Why would stability be an issue in a build but not in editor?

It is a crash in C++ code. Something tried to dereference null pointer. Unsuccesfully. You should submit a bug and a test case to unity team.

No. Editor is not standalone, and it is possible that some situation you get away in editor would result in crashes when deployed. I recall that in some version throwing an exception or writing an error into cnsole used to kill android build outright.

I'd also say to have a look at the profiler, as the 15 minute consistency does sound like a possible leak. Either in-editor or a development build, keep an eye on the profiler over time to see if your memory or number of objects is going up over time.

Thanks guys, i look into both of these suggestions.

I did get a report that some people are not experiencing this crash at all, even on lower end rigs. The culprit may be nvidia shadow play, so i going to test that as well.

Have you taken a look at the Player.log file from that crash yet? It might lend a clue.

It was a problem of using unsupported engine version with a third party asset. Didn't find the exact cause but simple solution was to down grade one version.
