I didn't dive much into sound ambience in Unity because frankly it's bad. However I just saw this video and the Gamefromscratch guy sounds excited:

Has anyone used FMOD so far with Unity and is it worth spending time checking it out?

There's also a dedicated Unity page:

    https://www.fmod.com/unity

I don't want to learn yet another tool, but if it's worth it, I'd totally go for it. I haven't done anything Audio related so far.

Thank you very much for your expertise!

This looks also like FMOD is promising:

    Aye cool.
I was planning on watching this same vid on gamefromscratch last night. I use audacity and lmms for music related stuff, but this FMOD software looks cool. I'll have to do some more research on FMOD, to learn more about it and the legal parts as well.
