What do you want in a game?

Hi,
Our team of 5 indie developers named JAW Group is starting a new game. But we want to know what type of game people want. I mean what type of game would you like to play. Please give your view.

Are you asking us to design your game for you? Initial concept, genre and everything?

Your website is one of the dodgiest I have visited. Nearly everything I click such as Download Unity (which I expected to take me to Unity3D) took me to the play store. That kind of stuff puts off most people. Certainly did me. I see this post as spam.

 

I am asking what type of game would you like to play.

 

I am not sure this is the right place for this although not sure where else it would go. Sounds more like someone marketing their company/game. You might try the WIP forum? It is more used and you would get more responses.

 

But the purpose of this forum is to talk about design, not help a company decide what game to make next. I think your post will not get a lot of mileage here, unfortunately.

 

Which is a pretty worthless question. Every game out there is played by someone. Your site states that your members have made games in the past. Try brainstorming up ideas with your members and see what happens.

An idea that your team enjoys is more likely to encourage you to be successful than someone else giving you one.

 

Mods. Please lock this before it gets bad.

 

Best part is the About Us page where it lists a CEO, a Studio Head, and almost no one else.

 

I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they are a group of young people who are getting together to start a company. Might not be totally professional but hey, they are trying. Better than a lot of things young people do. However, it doesn't negate the fact that this probably does not belong here.

I do agree they should have filled in the blanks or left off the blanks before publishing their website. We all start somewhere though, right? And we all have to learn, sometimes the hard way.

The main thing that annoyed me is every time I clicked on a link some adware script ran and launched another window. On my cell it looked like clicking the links actually took me elsewhere directly which is very shady. BUT... I thought maybe they are pop ups. Changed browser settings to not display pop ups. Visited site again and yes now the navigation works as expected.

I have nothing against the website. And they are trying. I give them that. Just lose that adware pop up crap it screams "unprofessional" and "money money we wanna money".
