What do you think about my new Asset [RELEASED]

    Hi..I'm Hazziq and I'm 15(16 in 1st July 2016) :D
    I'd always had the passion to Creat games and lounch them to big company's like unity and ketchapp.

    So I decided to start of my journey from the Asset Store. I have already managed to lounch my first Asset https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/55498

    Which I made. The moving Platformer problem has been sorted out befor publishing !!

    Beautiful work. Just consider smoothing the camera movement following the player. Also, when I step into a platform I expect that it carry me (without having to walk with it).

    I shouldn't be encouraging competitors, but that looks like a really good job, great work!

    You might want to look at parenting your character on the moving platform as it seemed a little shaky in the video.

    I don't think its right for me to respond in detail. In general note that Asset Store is extremely competitive now, so even low priced assets are hard to sell and people expect a lot for their money!

    Hard to tell. I suggest you to look through asset store, searching similar products to a price bias. Care to not choose a high price and later lowering it - customer that paid the first price will feel aggrieved.
    Speaking about customers, give them a nice personal support, targeting solving their problem above all (that's why they bought your product in first place) and slowly you will build to 4 or 5 stars rating.

    Great work; for the asset it looked really good; like others have said it needs some final polish on the platforms but solid work for far.

    Nice work on the trailer as well. For little experience you managed to edit together a decent showcase of the asset. Keep up the great work.

    $10 , $20, $30, $40, $50, $60.... i realy confused about this tell me ur opinion :)

    Check other competition within the asset store and then sell around the same ballpark. Normally the cheaper it is the more licenses you will sell; impulse buys.

    If it was my product I would sell it for around $5-$10

    Best of luck with sales my friend.

    Are you planning on changing the artwork with your own Tileset before you release? Or is it just the code you will be selling?

    well, the art work is from kenney assets which you can use in commercial projects ... so basicly i have researced a lot about this and it is legall to use it in commerical projects ... to make shore i also have contact the asset store team to makes shore and they have said that is okey to use it .... So im gona include the art work ..

    Yeah it's fine to use in the asset store; I was just wondering what's all included in your asset. Since the artwork is used so often and widespread the only thing of value in the package is the code. So I was wondering if you where using Kenny assets as placeholders till you make custom ones; which puts more value in the asset since the artwork is original.

    Oh .. I'm not gona design eny art work because it will take long time . In fact this is a test project which I want to publish and start gaining experience ... I have other assets ideas and project which I want to publish afterwards ... The purpose of me releasing these assets is to make some pocket money ^^ since I'm still in year 11 in school :D

    I have so many exams coming up ... Which was the reason of me publishing the asset so late ... After my exams I will be %100 free and will publish my assets and also try to make some pocket money :D

    This is an interesting - I'm wondering if you can even sell on the asset store as a minor?
    My limited knowledge of business contracts (and occasionally watching Judge Judy) makes me think Unity can not legally allow you to sell on the asset store, though there might be specific clauses allowing this.

    The logic here is - as a minor, you can not legally sign a binding agreement - which causes Unity's asset store provider agreement to be null/void. As a minor - you can sign all the documents you want, however they are not binding because of your age. This is my understanding with US laws btw, not really sure about non-US laws.

    It would not be wasted time to check into. I couldn't find anything with a quick search.

    Worth considering. Often you can get around it by having a parent or legal guardian set up the account.

    I'm pretty sure his parents would sign it up, same as for his PayPal; since you have to be 18+ for that.

    I couldn't find anything about age restrictions for the asset store. I assume his parents would be liable for any issues. So you should be fine.

    At least here in the UK you can get around pretty much everything except bank accounts by just having it legally registered under a parent

    I started selling assets on the store when I was 16 and there weren't any issues.

    They are also of a much higher price. If we wants to release his as a low priced alternative then why shouldnt he?

    Your platformer seems too much basic compared to other, many people could code it following tutorials.
    Anyway to make such basic platformers as yours there is lot of video platformers tutorials without needing to buy a plugin.

    but it still takes a long time to watch youtube videos and follow every code line and copy it down, generally asset plugins main purpose is to provide content which will save the buyrs time and effort which includes basic content. In fact im also highlighting in the title of the my Asset "Basic 2D platformer" that is an basic content, not that im trying to fool them or eny greater expectation from it.

    If you made the asset as a "test project" it might be better to publish it for free, since you will get alot more downloads and customer feedback that way, just saying :)

    Will you be able to provide adequate support for customers who bought your asset? Is your programming capabilities strong enough to fix problems that arise?

    yes .. i think i can handle most of bugs or eny programing issue and will try to give the best customer support

    If you haven't tried to sell it yet try & sell it for $1. Name your space alien a special name you like and make it a bit bigger too.
