Handle needs a bit of work but I was just doing it for the practice. First time really practicing painting weapon textures.

Hahaha.... wait til I add the teeth and texture him... gotta resist the urge to over-detail him though since he will be a background prop...could i get away with modeling 3 versions of this thing?

With Unity or you mean in 3d app?
For Unity you have basically only two options, and the most important is that none of them looks good. I have been spending a lot of time to make look caustic good for our game and both versions dont look really good.

I have written tutorial for caustics how i did it:
    http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/85875-Animated-underwater-caustic-Tutorial?highlight=caustic

Maybe it will help you, but be aware that you are limited only to really small water areas with this. So if you want to make caustic for really small lake or river it should be good anything big will need stretched caustic texture and will look bad.
Cryengine 3 caustics kicks ass of any other engines caustics implementation:D

Hm that might be possibble to do, but with really amateurish way. What can you do is to place spotlights all along the shore, which would have big performance impact but thats only way you can do it. Then you apply all settings from my tutroial on those lights and exclude water surface from caustics. So yea that would work, but you would need really bright dirrectional light to cover all those placed lights along the shore.

Zbrush demo is still in R1 version....:( In windows tray Mudbox is happy.

forgot my other account details so logging in with new user name. Been working on my 3d platformer character controller system. I had released old demos in the past but those were basically hardcoded.

Just 2 videos to show it today.

Controls like mario64/zelda or basically anyway you want for any type of game, very advanced with drag and drop character creation ie add multiple moves ie walk, jog, run which can have slowdowns or build ups + halting/quickstop, jumps, falls, lands, idles, emotes, strafes, rolls etc etc etc too much to list but due to health reasons struggling to do it at the minute plus struggling to relearn unity :-(

Am planning on releasing it sometime or maybe a cut down version which isn't as complex.

More practice while I finish up a soldier model for another game project. Might try and refine the bow a bit more.

The lightmaps are temporary, hence the low quality. There are also some texturing issues I need to sort out.

An additive decal with ananimated should work fine. No need for Pro. Vertex alpha blend it out at the edges, et voila :)

Yes Pro is not needed, but as i said animated decal wont help anything unless if you dont place dozens of lights like i said.

Caustic is projected from light as you know, but if you want to affect bigger area you will need to add more lights placed along the shore with caustics. If you will try to project caustic from one light only caustic texture will be very huge, unrealistic. The problem is that you cant change tiling of the texture becouse shader does not allow that (stupid, all other shaders allow that). So if you set too huge area of impact from caustic it just wont look good anymore, and also not to mention that it will also project caustic on ground unless if ground is somehow detached from underwater part.

    @marcos Very nice character.

@Fishman92 I'm planning on releasing/selling this in some form along with using it in my own game projects/demos.

My biggest vision is getting this into unity for others to use for games which display onscreen characters so they actually do have great player mechanics that can be customised to their hearts content with each avatar/character in each users game feeling totally unique.

My biggest obstacle at the minute is relearning many things within unity and designing a very easy to use gui to make it as easy as possible to drag and drop, tick boxes, change variables etc to create totally unique characters with mechanics how you want.

Every model has under 310verts that black thing that is seen on arrow bag is just on view port because of toon shader but when in game it looks normal.

@Marcos : Thanks! I'm really trying to get better at texturing and by taking some of the advice from other artists I think I'm getting the hang of of it. That head model is really awesome by the way ! Is that rim shader you're using with texture implementation ? Custom ? I'd love to try it out with these models!

@Sindii : Awesome engine so far, if he can climb up after grabbing an edge that'd be insanely awesome !

@Ivan : It's not a bad set of items but I think giving more time in texture by adding some shading you can get some wicked results !

Edit : I'll refrain from making a new post and add this here :
