I need to learn some UV'ing,...I wanna keep things super low poly for economic reasons,...

    on a side question.

What are some of the file sizes of UNity games, like on Wooglie.com, for example.Sheep Stacker, FOMALHAUT B.
I am just curious, for some reason I am paranoid of being too big!

15Mb limit on wooglie. I think the average game is around 5-10mb!

I really like your stuff Charlie, lettering, doors, etc, you definitely have some talent.
One critique I have though, that could apply to all of them, but this one in particular, is maybe try varying the line/stroke width of the outline a bit for each letter/outline? It's something you can do in illustrator and it may help to compliment the hand drawn lettering look.
    Just my suggestion. :D

If I was Women and Children,...

    I'd Click it :p

I like the reflective highlight across it.
Something about the back layer of outlined Pink feels like it needs some dimension.
Maybe bleed the highlight over it?

    A drop shadow?
    I dunno,..just pickin.

    GJ!

I like the $ sign for if it's intentional and appropriate. Many people use it when writing by hand, so it's not inappropriate in that context. Was it intentional?

My only comment is the gel/gloss/apple-effect is unnecessary in this case, imo. Try it without, or gloss the individual elements, or as a final option, carry it over to the BG. (As opposed to Welby...)

Speaking of Welby's opinion, I think he is correct about bringing the logo off the BG somehow.

I polished my Slice Component, now it works completely in a separate Thread and calculates a convex hull with max 50 triangles (changeable) for the collision. Also I added a slice projectile which will start the slice process after entering a sliceable object and applies the result after exiting the sliceable object.

    http://www.dras.biz/Slicer/WebPlayer.html

I will release the convex hull creation code for free after I polished it, maybe someone will see some use in this. Currently it produces some odd results with high triangle/vertex count objects, but thats the fault of my simplification algorithm which needs some further optimization.

There may be some cases in which the cut will appear some time after the projectile left the sliceable object, this is due the fact that it will be completely sliced only after the calculation process is finished. But this should only happen for complexer meshs and/or slow computers.

I would if I wanted to smooth things out, but I kinda like the faceted look. Gonna texture a bit first before I see what needs smoothing.

I purposefully hardened the edges in Maya ;) so no, I won't try smoothing yet.

    Thanks though.

There are 5 different scene but I am now working more with Unity and will be posting at regular intervals, nothing terribly exciting yet but I've done all aspects of these scenes, models, programming.

There are also some links to instructional videos, some game magazines, and will put more up if anyone has suggestions.

I used Photoshop. Really that's it XD . I appreciate your kind words , but to make this all you need is the ability to draw and any program ( gimp , ms paint, photoshop, sai , etc ) to draw in : D , or paper and pen!

Still a bit to go before I just move onto another picture and just call it quits XD

I thought it was done traditionally on paper, Good job!

I still haven't taken the Wacom/ Centiq plunge . I'd do it on paper then scan it then clean/color it.

Is this for a game? A title screen perhaps?

You're an electric catfish on a rescue mission! Using your electric pulses to control a stretchy motorbike, your job is to rescue all the fish trapped in baggies and reach the exit as fast as you can without breaking your bowl. FishMoto is part racing, part platformer, and part physics puzzle all wrapped in a fun, colorful package. I like to describe the physics as being ‘surreal’ ⎯ they allow for some crazy fun gameplay and some of the harder levels really make you think outside the box to get to the finish.

    Features include:
☆ Surreal physics that stretch your imagination
☆ Super cute graphics and unique art style
☆ Dozens of crazy levels to satisfy all skill levels with more to come in the future!
    ☆ Gravity changing baggie fish
☆ Funny sound effects that will have you giggling even while you crash
☆ Level decorations generated procedurally so levels look slightly different each time you play
☆ Original music ♪ or you can listen to your own music in the background
☆ Game Center leaderboards so you can compete for the best times
☆ Precise controls with adjustable transparency
☆ Levels can be rendered in 2D or 3D
    ☆ More features coming soon!

Test model i did with sculptris. I have to say pretty amazing tool i really like draw tool which is working different than most zbrush/mudbox brushes. I actually thought it is using voxels first.

Did you use a tablet and a pen at all? Or just your mouse?

I was thining of getting this: http://www.wacom.com/en/Products/BambooTablets/BambooPenandTouch.aspx
Is this a good thing for making your own textures and what not? ( I love to draw and model :) )

Nice drawing, DavidDSOTP, but, as the ground looks like snow and she looks cold, why is she wearing such revealing clothing? It might be a more personal opinion, and I might be way outnumbered, but I don't like it when games give women unrealistically revealing clothing just for us guy players out there. :)

@Welby : It's not really for a game, but I drew it with an RPG project I'm thinking about in the future in mind. Drawn with Intuos 4 tablet.

@Wade : I use a Wacom Intuos 4 , the bamboo tablet is great for new people to practice drawing with a tablet though but if you have enough money I suggest the Wacom Intuos 4 medium above anything else.

@Jesse : I just liked the clothing style - to be honest it just started out as an archer girl and everything else was added in for fun, or I would've bundled her up more for sureeeee.

@Yomo and Welby : Thanks for the compliments x3

Have a wolverine doodle for fun ! :
