MMORPG. Not a project i'll ever complete, or even want to complete, just enjoying the challenge The server->client communication is pretty much complete, and the server supports at least a couple of thousand players spread across the entire map.
As I'm doing this by myself, and I'm a pretty terrible at 3D modelling, all the textures and models is taken from Google :<
Some hornets in a quick scene. Not quite sure where I'm going with this yet.
Really happy with this one

Updated my Music Shump, now you can upload your own songs! WAV and OGG files only. MP3 no supported for some reason, anyone know why?
Also updated HUD, added proper scoring, and fixed numerous bugs.
Thanks, and please comment!
I have been trying to solve the mp3 dilemma and all that I have come up with is, that it cost money to license the use of mp3 in any product. I have seen plenty of flash games not only playing mp3 files but also able to load the files locally from the users own computer. Its a little embarrassing to see what appears to be a no brainer feature not easily capable with unity. I'm assuming this mp3 feature was seen as a low priority because we may be in the niche of creating music game.
As for your Music Shump perhaps dial down the enemy shooting. Have the projectiles shoot in a controlled burst to lower the chaos and improve visual interaction with the music. But its looking nice overall so far. I'm not sure if your visuals are temporary but I find the current look unique and appealing.
Just some random background image i made, feel free to use it if you want.
Owh woah man they do look awesome! They could be very useful actually should put them on imageshack!
Thank's charlie I (sorry i wrote first u will put it there xD) will put it there, by the way now im making airplane a little kid inspired me.
I know that I can create a cube on blender. -Claps at self-
Just a plane that kids draw, didn't came out as i expected to be good.
Ninja. I will make more with sword's, wand's and scepter's.
Awesome and... PAGE 80 :3
MP3 is a patented algorithm, if you use it you pay royalties.
Awesome door charlie, how you make these?
Illustrator :L I like doors haha
Charlie, great door!
How did you learn to do that? What tutorials did you followed?
Could you please answer my questions? I'm planing to learn drawing but I don't know where to start!
Actually I started using illustrator 2days ago.. just some simple guidence from some friends no tutorials
I can learn fast, but nothing compered to you.
The building has been modelled by charliesamways (who is awesome, I might add) and textured and light by me. Thanks a lot:
haha, would be nothing without that amazing texture work :') brilliant!
Brilliant collaboration !
Great work you two guys !
I'm working on my graphics right now, instead of programming (unfortunately).
Decided I needed to have a world to walk around in and manipulate, instead of using blocks and cubes, lol.
Last night I finished two big goals. First, I finished designing 10 of 13 races for my RPG.
Second, I finished designing my "Dungeon Construction Kit" Environment Pack.
I might postpone the whole RPG to focus on creating a single dungeon experience, or maybe something similar to Dungeon Keeper 2, or a "Short Story" RPG.
If I decide on the "Short Story" RPG, it will be about Sir Kay, a Arthurian Knight in King Arthur's Court who might have been a civilized, christian Saxon, and step-brother to King Arthur.
Arthurian Stories have unique titles and short stories tend to be about epic adventures. My storyline would encompass Sir Kay's quest to defeat the King of all greenskins. Sir Kay is a Thane-- a lighting wielding Knight-Mage.
Here is a concept art piece showing off the game, which would be titled, "Sir Kay and the Goblin King" that can be found on my website.
Those characters look neat! Very high poly though, or am I mistaken?
Yep! Ridiculous poly count, but they end up as 2D images so the game can be played on a netbook or on a Pentium 3, lol.
Ah, pre-rendered sprites then. Sweet.
That looks awesome, I really like the style and "feel" it brings to the game.
Most FPS screenshots don't give me a feeling other than "meh" but this one actually does.
So absolutely a great job!
That sim effect is a mistake. The game just went haywire and I took a screen grab. The reason I wanted an IEnumerator was for the Yield statement to pause between generating rockets. Since I didn't have it, they'd spawn on top of each other and, with rigid bodies, bounce off trajectory like bees! I just started C#/Unity3D a little over a month ago so I have alot to figure out.
That's hot. I really liked the concept of it being able to Fly, if not for a burst,..hehee
Doors! I wanna enter one.
Question. How will this be implemented in UNity3D? Will the be on cards in a 3D scene, with Alphas?
8 yrs ago , I'd expect this to be done in Flash, I am just wondering if games like this are starting to be done done in a 3D engine for it's inherent advantages.
Yeah they are placed on planes
"warning: leaving battle field
you did that on purpose, didn't you? (when you go to far in halo: reach thats what it does)
Common practice for games without hard boundaries. See Tribes series, Battlefield series, etc
