You may want to scale down that brick texture, it's uber-big. Maybe 1/4 to 1/10 the current size, even.

For large paved tiles, I'd suggest a different texture. That one is obviously bricks, and while it comes off alright - your game looks great - it is obviously just wrong.

Awesome indeed Charlie! I see you´re doing more than great!

Im currently trying to figure out how to do 2 self exclusive things.

    I need either to:

-Retrieve values from statistics posted on Kongregate's API.

    or

-Make Kongregate's API shared content to work on Unity.

    Preferably the 1st option =)

    Help anyone?

    Hugs!

Vinicious: That might be worth a post in the general support thread! You will get much more traffic there that here!

Soon? I wanted it done this week, but then again I wanted it done last week! I've improved a number of things, including animation hooks (and I'm including the animated chest in the package...), and better bag swapping. There are many things I'd like to improve, but I'd also like to make it available - both so people can start using it and to get better feedback - it's finding that "sweet spot" between too early and too late. It is essentially finished right now except for one glitch. I've had to move from buttons to raw events for better control, and now the stats window complains when icons are added due to using GUI.Layout. This just needs some care and attention and will be customised by the user anyway. I think this is the last fix. I also have a ton of tutorial videos for this system as well, but I've improved the system enough since I recorded them, much of it will need redoing. (I had originally recorded them for the core system that never ended up making it's way to the asset store...) but I won't hold up the release for the videos. I'll get them ready afterwards this time. So - tomorrow? Monday?

Ultra detailed forests in Unity with revamped textures and real scaled trees. 30 to 50 fps in test. These videos were made before the performance tweaks.

Music is just for an enhanced feel :p

Update on my Music Powered Top down shooter (not unlike Beat Hazard).
    Have a try here!

Picked up this project after dropping it for a while to experiment with Beast. I am considering making the shooting completely automatic.

Song is 21 Guns, by Green Day.
    Your thoughts are wanted.

    Hans,

Maybe Monday. I'm being drawn into a lunchtime meeting today for another project (not games) which, since it's a sunny friday might involve a pint or two...

All updates will be free. I'm following the paradigm (like Brady at A&BSoft with EZGui and SpriteManager) that only serious re-builds (a true new release) will be chargeable. I don't see that any time soon. I plan on supporting this system and polishing it with user feedback. I found with MessageManager that no amount of prediction could match the needs of real-world users!

The package will also come with the chest model and textures (animated and non-animated - I find the non-animated chests are good stand-ins when lightmapping and make good props...) 25 or 30 icons with borders and as clean 64x textures, and I have also included some of Bluee Eyess weapon Models, along with a link for more. There will be other stuff as well (like the potion model and textures...), everything you see in the videos.

For an idea of how the editor works with this system, I've made this video this morning:

(I know I should have been working on the OnGUI issue, but I was up until 3 am trying hunt down a machine issue, that might be a failing power supply, so I was a bit slow this morning...)

iPhone game FishMoto (hope to release it within a month or so) --

Sorry for the crappy quality. Blurred it in an attempt to hide the banding. Anybody have any tips for recording off-screen iPhone footage?

edit: You also have the option of playing with a perspective camera --

Very nice T-rex! The skin looks a little flat, is it just the lighting? Also, is he animated?

Someone else also told me the skin looked a little flat, I suppose it could be the lighting. I only have one directional light. Isn't animated yet. I hope to get around to that when its finished.

@jorisshh The head look like it is going in the right direction, I think the wrinkles and some of the other ridges are a bit to hard. The body looks a bit awkward, some of that might be due to the perspective. But the body looks like it has hard edges as well.

@TyrantTR Might help to add a specular map. And perhaps an occlusion layer.

And my little WIP. The walls of Babylon. Based only loosely on Babylon, Persian architecture, and my own ideas.

No normal or spec maps yet.

@Origin yeah I have to work on my shader, specular maps seem to hardly have an effect on it.

    I love those walls btw.

Use a cubemap controled by the base maps alpha and light direction + fresnel, for a variation of specular, might give better looking results (like in prerendering you'd use certain reflections that are super bright in certain spots (easy with HDRI, but since we don't have that here, you'd have to fake that in Unity) to get more realistic specular effects, should work though. Sorry, full of cold, so none of this probably made sense.

Haha Yeah a lot of that went over my head. I'll see if I can piece it together later, the shader editor's been giving me trouble lately.

Yes I know, I tried sub surfing the handel in Blender but I just turned out to be more 'ugly' looking, so I just sub surfed the rest of it. I made both a low rez and a high rez of the gun.

    Thank you

@wade don't have much to complain about on the drone other then the lack of texture. Shape looks excellent.

Edit: wow we appear to keep posting at the same time. haha

Haha I don't think Ive seen a game that's ever used product placement. Nice soda cans, I suppose a way of improving it would be using spec maps for like, water droplets or something. Depends on how much detail you want to put into it I guess.
